Rush begins by attending one of the mandatory information sessions from 4:30-5:15 pm on either Monday, September 12th or Tuesday, September 13th. We will also be having a mandatory meet-and-greet event on Wednesday, September 14th from 12pm to 4:00 pm. On Thursday, September 14, our last new member class, the Kappa Class, will be hosting a philanthropy event so that new members can learn about our relationship with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and can work to support the pediatric patients at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Final applications must be submitted by noon on Friday, September 16 to phidecornell@gmail.com

Congratulations Iota Class!

Congratulations to our newly initiated members! The Iota Class finished their new member education program, successfully organized and executed a philanthropy event, and presented an informative case study on Crohn's Disease. RUSH PHIDE!
Fall recruitment for the current academic year will begin with mandatory information sessions from 5:30-6:00 pm on either Tuesday, September 8th in Goldwin Smith Hall 132 (HEC Auditorium) or Wednesday, September 9th in Rockefeller Hall 112. We will also be having a meet-and-greet event on Friday, September 11th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in 411 Willard Straight Hall. Certain applicants will be invited to a second recruitment event on September 16th. Later, interviews will be held on September 20th.

We want to congratulate all of our new brothers who were initiated this evening into the Theta Pledge Class of the NY Lambda Chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon at Cornell University.
The philanthropic efforts made by this pledge class made chapter history with the most money raised for the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Annual William Gelfand Lecture Series with Dr. Lloyd Hey

Come join the NY Lambda Chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity for our 2014 Annual William Gelfand Lecture Series on Thursday, October 2nd!
This year, we welcome keynote speaker, Dr. Lloyd Hey, an orthopedic surgeon and founder of the Hey Clinic. Following his own experience as a trauma patient during his adolescent years, Dr. Hey aspired to be a surgeon, and went on to receive training from MIT, Harvard Medical School, and Boston Children’s Hospital. In 2005, he founded the Hey Clinic, located in Raleigh, North Carolina, for scoliosis and spinal deformities. For over 10 years, Dr. Hey and his team have been serving children, adolescents and adults at the Hey Clinic, with a strong emphasis on patient education and providing the best quality of care.

On Friday February 7th we are having a Meet the Brothers Event from 11 to 3 PM in Willard Straight Hall Room 411. This is a great time for potential new members to meet current PhiDE brothers.

Rush PhiDE!
Cornell's only medical fraternity is opening recruitment for new members starting this week. We'll be holding mandatory information sessions in Rockefeller 128 on September 9 and in Rockefeller 110 on September 10.
To give those who are interested in applying a better idea of what it means to be a brother of PhiDE, we invite you to meet the brothers at an informal barbeque on September 13 from 3-6 on the Arts Quad.
Applications are due 11:59 PM Sunday September 15.
